The building of the new project "Āgenskalna priedes" is located opposite the first multi-storey (five-storey) standard residential area in Āgenskalns that was built from 1958 till 1962 and named Āgenskalna priedes.
The reconstructed 2-storey dwelling house has been built in the 20th century 30s functionalism style with semicircle bay in the south-west facade and characteristic four-sided roof (architect A. P. Laukirbe). There are 18 apartments in the project, 5 of which are one bedroom apartments and 13 - two bedroom apartments with size from 51 till 87 sq. m that are located on three storeys of both buildings. Each building has been designed to have two entrances in the middle that are located on one axis. The staircase of the old building has been designed in retro style, whereas the staircase of the new building - in contemporary minimalism style. Near the entrance on the ground floor there will be stairs to the basement. Although both buildings will be isolated, there will be walk-through possibility on the basement level where the underground car park for 13 cars will be situated. A public access terrace for the residents (130 sq. m) has been planned over the 3rd floor of the newly erected building. The terrace will be partly covered with lightweight construction roof.
The style of the newly erected building corresponds to the functionalism of the 30s with indirect references to the formal characteristics of art-deco (round windows, doors, the curved part of the building). Greenery of the project has been planned to be visually attractive by taking into consideration the succession of bloom and decorative aspects of plants during the whole year. As the project has been named "Āgenskalna priedes" ("The pines of Āgenskalns"), the garden zone will also feature symbolic mountain pines.
There is a children's playground in the territory.
Gas heating system has been installed in the building and each apartment has its own heating meter.
The apartments are being sold with full interior finish.
