RIVERS / STREAMS
This section of the farm has the MOEPEL stream flowing through large parts of it. This is seepage and fountain water. Large granite pools retain water all year round.
The farm has a huge variety of trees and grasses, many unique to the area. The farm and valley are situated at an altitude over 800m and are surrounded by the Boshoff cliffs which define the boundaries if the farm and form a natural barrier. This area has a number of different fauna areas ranging from savannah, bushveld and riverine bush.
Dendrologists and tree club members have said the variety of trees is unique. Tree species such as marula, stamvrug, wild fig, maroela and coral are found in large numbers in this area.
Large variety of species of birds is endemic to the area, including many game birds
