Rice Valley is one of the most beautiful locations in the Mendocino National Forest. Situated at the foot of Snow Mountain and the far NW corner of the Berryessa-Snow Mountain National Monument. You drive up a 4x4 road (not steep, but creek crossings, dirt roads, you need 4x4) on the side of Rice Creek, through old growth timber and rock formations, then you come around a corner into Rice Valley and can not help but be amazed at the setting. Huge heritage oaks and mostly pasture and meadows for hundreds of acres. Some of this is private, but the property consists of 2 ten acre parcels, one bordering USFS land to the north and one bordering it to the south. Rice Creek runs by the corner and plenty of the creek is on USFS to allow all the trout fishing you could ever hope for. Historically Rice Creek has been one of the most prolific trout streams in Lake County. Genetics for the blacktail deer herd on Snow Mountain is world famous, and there are ducks, quail and other upland birds here. No reason to spend hundreds of thousands of $$$ on a big parcel of land when you can access your own playground for less than $200k. Even has an historic cabin on it that can be refurbished. Come check this one out, you will NOT be disappointed!
