Buying a house in Apulia: experts advice to buy well
Itria Valley or Salento? Where to buy villa, masseria farm or trullo of prestige? Over the last two years the market in Apulia has focused on luxury properties aimed at high level customers, both national and international . The size of buildings varies from small structure as trulli to farm houses and the larger masseria, till the ancient villas.
The most attractive investment opportunities are in the valley Itria, where prices are stable by the moment, and there are many interesting opportunities to be discovered in Salento of making a good deal.
In Itria valley you can find trulli in the following towns: Locorotondo, Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Ostuni and Alberobello. In Locorotongo trulli houses can reach 2,500 Euros per square meter and are stable respect 2010 because the owners with low managing fees, does not allow great discounts. However you can buy in Alberobello a trulli house with 130.000 Euros plus 20-25,000 Euros to restructure. It is considered a good price, because the property may generate a good rental income. In July and August it is over 1,000 Euros per week.
3 km from Cisternino, in Itria valley, a restructured villa trulli with 5,000 square metres of land is sold by RE/MAX House & Lands in Monopoli at 210,000 Euros. In Salento area, the land between Ionian and Adriatic see, the market has not yet consolidated in the two areas and is more interesting in terms of investment.
In recent years there has been an increase in demand because of low prices . Reports points the more indicative quotations: about 1,600 Euros per square meter for houses in the country, about 2,000 Euros per square meter for a farm of 800 meters rearranged.
