The hotel also features covered parking for 12 cars, an administrative office, an employee area, and a 55,000-liter water tank. The US magazine "Estilo de Vida," honored for six consecutive years as one of the best luxury magazines in Latin America, included the Hotel María Bonita as the best hotel in Boyacá with the Recognition of Excellence. Detecta Hotel did the same, cataloging it as the best hotel in the region. The hotel also features earthquake-resistant infrastructure, natural lighting, PVC floors, luxury linens, noise-cancelling laminated windows, a warm atmosphere, airport transportation, and is ideal for all kinds of business and family events.

Villa de Leyva is a Colombian municipality located in the Ricaurte province of the department of Boyacá. It is located 40 km west of Tunja, the department's capital, and 165 km from Bogotá, the country's capital. It was founded in 1572 as Villa de Santa María de Leyva, recognized as a national monument in 1954, a World Heritage Site in 2010, and is on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
It is characterized by its preserved colonial-style architecture, the variety of its rural landscapes, ranging from the páramo zone, with its springs and reservoirs, to the desert zone, and the diversity of the species that inhabit them. It is also notable for its enormous cobbled main square (1.4 ha), flanked by old colonial buildings. It is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia, which is why both its urban center and the surrounding countryside have become some of the country's most important tourist destinations since at least the 1980s. Due to its architecture, its museums, the traditions of its inhabitants, and its history, Villa de Leyva became part of the Colombian Heritage Town Network at the beginning of the 21st century.
