The Endoenças procession is one of the most moving ceremonies which can be experienced, as on the Thursday before Easter, there is a procession between Santa Clara church (Torrão parish in the district of Marco de Canaveses), which crosses the mouth of the River Tâmega and on up to the Church of São Sebastião in Entre-os-Rios, which happens again the next day but in the opposite direction, made even more moving due to the fact that the procession is lit by thousands of candles placed along the route (in the streets, windows and balconies) and also along the river banks and on fishing boats and pleasure boats.
