Janis Kirtz brings 35 years of sales and marketing experience to RE/MAX Around Atlanta. A highly respected industry veteran, she was the President of Morris and Raper Realtors for 30 years, where she developed and implemented sales and marketing strategies for single family and master planned communities, townhomes and condominiums. In addition to playing a key role on the senior management team at RE/MAX Around Atlanta, Janis also contributes her legal skills as an expert on contracts, mediation, negotiation and more.
Janis is a fourth generation South Carolinian, born in Columbia, but with an ancestral foot in Charleston as well. Her undergraduate education was at the University of South Carolina (Phi Beta Kappa) and she received her Juris Doctor from Catholic University. After living in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Washington, DC, Janis and her family relocated to Atlanta in 1977 and stayed.
Janis is a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors, the Georgia Bar and its Real Estate section, and the Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM). She is also a past trustee of the Builder Marketing Society, a nationally recognized society of real estate professionals. In her real estate career, Janis has won just about every residential Sales and Marketing award presented. The award nearest and dearest to her heart, though, is the JB Kantner Memorial Award for Professionalism.
