Robert "Bob" O'Connor
I was born in New York and raised on Long Island, I moved to the small town of Cape Coral in the summer of 1974. I graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 1978 (the only other high school in the Cape Coral area back then), and I graduated as a proud Red Knight. Soon after high school I enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent my 2 years in West Germany, (yes there was an East and West back then).
After my Honorable discharge, I bought an Arnold bread distributorship covering parts of S. Ft. Myers, Sanibel and Captiva. I sold my distributorship in 1986 and was hired by the FedEx Corporation. I gained valuable geographical knowledge among other disciplines as well for 28 years. Both the military and both jobs taught me organization, time management, people skills, and a freakish ability to know every address in Lee County and what’s built/business is there.
In June of 2005, I became a Florida licensed Realtor and continued to sell real estate and work for FedEx until I retired from FedEx in 2015. Continuing my education, I studied and earned my license as a Florida Appraiser in 2009.
Personally, I have just celebrated my 39th wedding anniversary with Tara and have 2 adult children, Bobby and Bryan. Tara and I enjoy traveling and taking in Mets games whenever we can.
I love to spend time with family and friends in beautiful SW Florida. In addition to being an avid NY Mets fan, I enjoy playing golf and frequenting all the fantastic restaurants in Cape Coral and Ft. Myers. Call me at 239-410-7183 with all your residential and commercial questions and I look forward to hearing from you.
