Looking back on my experience buying my first home at the youthful age of 26 years old, I started thinking about who I chose as my realtor, and why. I was a young single Mom with 4 young children, and I didn’t have parents to teach and guide me through the process. I relied solely on the knowledge of my realtor and her code of ethics to look out for me and my best interest. I have bought 2 homes in my life, and both of my realtors were older, experienced individuals in the industry and in life. This made me feel safe, as though I had a mother teaching me everything I needed to know. It is so important when choosing the Realtor that you work with, that this person has your best interest in mind.
Coming to California from Texas, I bring that southern hospitality in all that I do. If you asked me what I was going to be when I grow up, at 6 years old, I’d have told you an artist. You can find me sitting in front of my sewing machine trying to save a lot of money on curtains, while making my own.
