A home with a timeless soul, combining a classic and contemporary vision, focused on symmetry and the use of finishes and materials that foster a welcoming atmosphere. Combined with a design featuring straight lines and shapes, combining practicality and functionality, this stunning home conveys a sense of history through its traditional features, the lightness of neutral colors, and the pursuit of natural light in open, integrated spaces.
The project focused on light, which enters the house naturally, without losing the sense of protection (from rain, wind, and direct sunlight), which conveys a human feeling inherent in our need for a home that represents a safe and comfortable shelter. Elements were created to reflect light, creating bright spaces without the need for curtains or blinds.
Highly private, due to its position on the lot, and also designed to enhance the view, which is a true natural setting, the house's doors and windows were designed to become frames, framing the lush surroundings. Scandinavian inspiration was used for the multifunctional cube that separates the open-plan kitchen from the living and dining rooms, maintaining the contemporary loft feel. Each side of the cube has a function, with the kitchen-facing sides housing a wood-burning stove and cupboard, and the other two sides facing the living rooms housing a beautiful, modern built-in fireplace. The invisible side of the cube, facing the ceiling, contains metal hoods for exhaust and space heating. Simply extraordinary!
The hydraulic tiles that form a patchwork on the balcony, which is the entrance to the house from the garden, were designed and handcrafted, one by one, in a factory in Nova Friburgo. Their installation, a patient exercise of supervision, ensures a perfect result! These details explain why this house is so unique! So special and an invitation to good living!
On the first floor, we have a bedroom, the guest bathroom, and in the space designated for the second bedroom on this floor, an internal laundry room was designed to better accommodate the couple's routine. A spacious pantry, an outdoor laundry room, a guest bathroom, and a storage room located on the upper level of the property are functional and important rooms for the home's daily routine. On the second floor, there's a spacious suite with a walk-in closet, and its doors, one on each side, are designed to offer views of the sunrise, sunset, and moonlight every day.
Here, we have spring water, plenty of privacy, as it's at the end of one of the condominium's streets, abundant sunshine, and peace... If all of this sounds like what you're looking for in your new home, don't hesitate! Contact us and we'll show you this special property!
