Estados Unidos RE/MAX english Jason Knight Born in Visalia, CA. attended Woodlake Union High School, Upon graduating from high school in 1981 I started a commercial citrus nursery AKA Naranjo Citrus Nursey while attending College of The Sequoias. During my years at C.O.S. I started out as a Building Trades Major but eventually transitioned to a business major. This is when I discovered real estate and real estate appraising as a career option. Being in farming my entire life led me to want to specialize in Ag properties exclusively. After graduating from College of The Sequoias I attended C.S.U.F. and pursued a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. After Graduating from C.S.U.F I returned home to Woodlake and dramatically increased the size of my nursery. During the busiest years the nursery sold 200,000 to 600,000 citrus seedlings per year to other nurseries through out California and Arizona. At one time the nursery employed four full time workers and 16 seasonal workers. Then in 2004 I downsized my nursery and moved it to Elderwood, CA. After seven more years of growing nursery stock I sold all the trees except for what I needed to convert my own ground to permanent plantings.
In 2013 I began a career in real estate with H.R. Macklin and sons which lasted for six years. During my last three years with H.R. Macklin & Sons I became a commercial real estate appraiser trainee under Mike Toomey. Since then I have appraised several parcels of Ag land extending northward in Madera County and southward to Kern County, CA. After the owner of H.R. Macklin & Sons sold his business I began searching for a brokerage that I thought was more suitable for selling Ag land, this is when I moved to Remax Visalia. Now I am with Remax Visalia, I really like all the realtors with Remax because they are so friendly and willing to help you. Our broker Ed Evans is great too, he is always willing to help in any way that he can to make us more efficient so that we can provide better service to our clients.
