She's also happy to give back to the community where she works and lives, including serving on the Board of Directors for a condo board , a Pet Rescue and the CAOR where she worked her way up to being the President in 2011/2012. Karen also runs a charitable organization she started called Handbags for Hope. Now in its 8th year, this organization does an annual drive at Christmas time and strives to make women who are less fortunate across Cambridge, Kitchener , Guelph and surrounding areas feel special by providing the comforts associated with everyday items – gently used purses filled with new toiletries. Karen is a proud mother to 3 children and 4 grandchildren , loves travel and continuing education.
