I grew up in a small, close-knit community, where I developed an appreciation for the simplicity of life. My journey brought me to Hamilton to attend McMaster University, and aside from a brief time living out of province, I’ve called this vibrant city home ever since.

Early in my career, I achieved a milestone that was uncommon at the time—I purchased my first home as a single woman. My experience was even featured in Home Girl: The Single Woman's Guide to Buying Real Estate in Canada by Brenda Bouw. Homeownership not only gave me a profound sense of pride but also sparked my passion for DIY projects and home design.

Together with my husband, Cameron, we’ve bought, renovated, and restored several homes, with our current project being our most ambitious yet. Once someone who only had a kitchen because it came with the house, I’ve since fallen in love with cooking—and designing beautiful, functional kitchen spaces. Since our two sons became vegan, I’ve embraced a plant-based lifestyle, curating a collection of delicious, wholesome recipes that I love to prepare and share.
