Born and raised in Troy, Michigan, north of Detroit, I grew up in a fox hunting family, riding horses over many miles of farm country. I admired the old majestic farms and unique architecture of the homes around the great lakes since I was very young. I attended college in Staunton, Virginia, Monterey, California, while living in Pebble Beach, and graduated in Michigan with a business degree. I arrived in Chattanooga to further my equine studies. I first made my home on Lookout Mountain and my work was at the base of Elder Mountain.
