I came to Pittsburgh from New York in August of 1996 to work for Pittsburgh Opera. My first apartment was at the old train station known as "The Pennsylvanian". Coming from New York, I soon realized that I could pay a lot less to live in Pittsburgh and began to search for a new apartment. I found a great place in Squirrel Hill for a third of what I paid in New York. I simply fell in love with Pittsburgh and decided to make it my home. I've lived in Penn Hills since 2003.
