My husband and I bought our first home 20 years ago—a three-story house in Little Italy. By renting out the basement and main floor, we covered our mortgage and used that foundation to acquire our next investment property on College Street. From there, we expanded our portfolio to include a farm in the beautiful Quinte West region.
