Jennifer Waghalter - RE/MAX Professional

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, I’ve spent my entire life immersed in the world of design, development, and communication. I graduated from Episcopal High School and later earned my Bachelor of Mass Communication from LSU—a foundation that shaped my career and ultimately led me to real estate.

My passion for property began early. My father, James D. Dodds, has been a respected architect in our community for more than 60 years, so I grew up surrounded by job sites, development projects, and conversations about design, structure, and space. That exposure stayed with me and continues to influence how I approach homes, aesthetics, and investment opportunities today.

I spent more than 18 years in advertising sales—with 15 at WAFB-TV, the #1 station in the market—before launching my full-service advertising agency, Next Level Media, in 2012 (formerly Platform Media). With over 30 years of media expertise, I’ve partnered with businesses across the U.S. developing and implementing high-impact, results-driven marketing campaigns to build their brand and grow their business and still proudly serve several clients today.

In 2022, my love for design and renovation led me to investment properties, where I began purchasing and managing my own short-term rentals. Today, I manage four Airbnb properties in the Baton Rouge market. I am passionate about all aspects from remodeling and selecting finishes and décor to enhancing guest experience and optimizing revenue.

Bringing all of this together—sales, marketing, design, investment strategy, and a lifetime around development—real estate became a natural next chapter.
