James Marchant
Real estate professional and former corporate strategy consultant, James Marchant builds legacies. For those fortunate to live or settle within Salt Lake, Davis, Wasatch or Utah Counties, James brings his versatile financial knowledge and expertise to create smart, diligent buyers and sellers. There is little doubt that James can gracefully manage whatever his real estate clients ask of him. Whether it’s negotiating the price of a $6 million dollar luxury home or a $100,000 cabin lot, his primary goal is providing exceptional service and assisting his clients to receive the greatest value for their money or property.
Before real estate, James worked in mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategy, with his University of Utah M.B.A. in hand. He enjoyed a long and successful career with Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley representing clients in structuring and negotiating large corporate transactions, and developing strategic plans from his offices in Los Angeles and New York City. James' experience also includes consulting with international companies in the U.S., Nigeria, and Canada with the London-based Euromoney Publications Consulting.
In 2002, James made a change and turned to real estate. With his extensive corporate transaction experience he has been able to make a difference in peoples’ lives, assisting buyers with sound financial investments and guiding baby boomers through the financial intricacies of selling the family home. James approaches every real estate transaction with the same zeal and interest as he would a corporate deal. Over the years he’s developed great friendships and is honored when referred to as “the family Realtor”.
James lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and three children. A born and raised Utahn, James loves exploring the area’s beautiful terrain with his family, whether it’s navigating the many backcountry ATV trails, skiing on its world-famous mountain slopes, or enjoying a round of golf.
