She holds a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

She actively supports her community as an ambassador for the Greater Jackson TN Chamber of Commerce (Red Coat) and a Circle of Red member with the American Heart Association.
